Questions and answers
Here we have gathered the questions we are asked most often before work begins: how to place an order, how far in advance to book, what makes up the price, and what equipment rental includes. Questions about a specific service are covered on its page.
Ordering and turnaround
How to submit a request and how far in advance to book an interpreter.
Submit a request on the website, call us at +7 495 795 13 24 or message us on WhatsApp. A manager will clarify the details of your event, select the right interpreting format and send you a cost estimate.
The earlier you book, the wider the choice of interpreters with the right specialization:
- simultaneous interpreting - 2-3 weeks in advance: time is needed to select a pair of interpreters, prepare the equipment, and study the event materials;
- consecutive interpreting and whispered interpreting - a few days in advance;
- written translation - from 1-3 business days depending on volume.
For urgent requests we are available around the clock - message us on WhatsApp at +7 903 689 88 00. Urgent written translations are completed within 24 hours. An interpreter's availability in the coming days depends on our team's workload, so we respond to urgent requests as soon as we have checked the schedule.
For an accurate quote, we need the date and time, venue, language pair, event topic, number of participants, and format: conference, negotiations, guided tour, court hearing, or online meeting. Please send the agenda, presentations, and term lists in advance - we use them to prepare a glossary.
Let your manager know as early as possible - we will rearrange the team and equipment for the new date. Rescheduling and cancellation terms are set out in the contract and discussed before it is signed.
Pricing and payment
What makes up the price and how to pay.
Base rates that calculations start from:
- Simultaneous interpreting from 15,000 RUB/day
- Whispered interpreting from 12,000 RUB/day
- Online Oral Interpretation from 10,000 RUB/day
- Consecutive interpreting from 8,000 RUB/day
- Liaison interpreting from 6,000 RUB/hour
- Written translation from 1,500 RUB/page
- Equipment rental from 45,000 RUB/day
Your manager will calculate the exact price for your event - submit a request and you will receive a quote within 30 minutes during business hours.
The price depends on the interpreting format, language pair, duration of work, subject matter and terminology complexity, venue and urgency of the order. For events involving rare languages and narrow specializations, pricing is always calculated individually.
One page is defined as 1800 characters of the source text, including spaces. Volumes over 20 pages are quoted individually.
Yes, we work under contract with both organizations and individuals. Your manager will agree on the set of closing documents and the payment procedure before work begins. For course training, an interest-free installment plan of up to 3 months and corporate payment for employees are available.
Interpreting
Choosing a format, team composition, and working in the regions.
A quick guide to what each format is best for:
- Simultaneous interpreting - conferences and forums with large audiences: interpretation runs simultaneously with the speech, so the event does not run long.
- Consecutive interpreting - negotiations, presentations, guided tours: the interpreter speaks during pauses, no equipment needed.
- Whispered interpreting - one or two listeners in the room: the interpreter whispers the translation right next to the client.
- Liaison interpreting - official procedures: court, notary, government agencies.
- Online interpreting - meetings in Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet with no interpreter travel required.
Not sure which to choose? Describe your event to our manager and they will suggest the right format for the task.
In simultaneous interpreting, interpreters take turns every 15-20 minutes: the workload is too high for one person to maintain quality all day. For consecutive and whispered interpreting, one interpreter is usually enough, but the duration is limited - we recommend no more than six hours of whispered interpreting, with breaks. The exact team composition depends on the program and the number of languages.
Every project starts with a briefing: we go over the specifics of your event, select interpreters with relevant industry experience, and prepare a glossary tailored to your terminology. We work with oil and gas, law, medicine, and finance. The earlier you send your materials, the more precise the terminology will be.
Yes, we travel across Russia and abroad. Travel expenses are calculated separately and agreed before work begins. If no travel is needed, the meeting can be held in the format online interpreting.
We cover the main European and Oriental languages - English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Serbian, Arabic, Farsi and Chinese. For rare language pairs, check availability with the manager: such orders require selecting an interpreter in advance, so the booking lead time increases.
Equipment rental
What is included in the price and what the venue needs to provide.
The price includes delivery, setup, and on-site technical support - there is nothing extra to pay for them. An engineer stays at the event and is responsible for the equipment: handing out and collecting headsets, sound, and communication with the booths. View equipment catalog.
The Bosch Integrus infrared system supports up to 32 languages simultaneously and covers halls of up to 2600 sq. m. The Sheptalo portable system handles interpreting into up to 6 languages and is well suited for guided tours and off-site events.
Before the event, we check the floor plan, power points, and booth placement with the venue - interpreting booths take up a noticeable amount of space, so it is best to agree on this in advance. We complete the setup before the event starts so we can test the sound and channels without rushing.
Yes, the equipment can be rented on its own - together with delivery, setup, and technical support. If you also need interpreters, we will put the whole event together turnkey: both the equipment and the team.
Written translation
Turnaround times, certification, and document confidentiality.
The standard turnaround is 1-3 business days, depending on the complexity and length of the document. We complete urgent translations within 24 hours. Volumes over 20 pages are priced individually.
Electronic copies are sufficient for a quote and for the translation itself - just email us your documents. However, notarization requires originals or notarized copies of the documents.
Yes. We maintain complete confidentiality and will sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on request - this applies both to written documents and to event materials you share with the interpreters for preparation.
Interpreter Courses
Who the training is for, the format, and the certificate you receive.
Most courses require a university degree and a foreign language level of B2 or higher. Specialized programs may require preliminary testing and an interview.
All courses are held online. Classes run live on professional video conferencing platforms: full work with a tutor, not a recording. View course programs.
Upon successful completion of the course, you receive an official SINKHRON PLUS certificate stating the program and the number of hours. The certificate is recognized within the professional community.
Yes, an interest-free installment plan of up to 3 months is available. Payment by a legal entity and corporate training for company employees are also possible.
