Whispered interpreting questions
Whispered interpreting requires no special equipment or interpreter booths. The interpreter sits next to the client and quietly translates the speaker's words. It is a more economical option for a small number of people.
The optimal number is 1-2 people. At most, 3 people can be provided with interpretation, and they must sit very close to the interpreter. For larger audiences, we recommend simultaneous interpreting with equipment.
The recommended duration is up to 6 hours with breaks. Whispered interpreting is highly demanding for the interpreter, so for longer events it is better to use simultaneous interpreting with a rotation of interpreters.
Yes, whispered interpreting can be arranged quickly, as it requires no equipment setup. However, for the best quality we recommend booking at least 1-2 days in advance so the interpreter can prepare for the subject matter of the event.
